This is an awesome retro shooter. They even used the Build Engine, so it’s extremely authentic compared to games like Duke Nukem 3D and such.

I finished the main campaign last year or so (2023) — it was one of those situations where I had started the game a number of times, but never actually gotten to the end. The sequel/expansion, Ion Fury - Aftershock, is similar in that I’ve started the game, but I haven’t finished it yet (as of 2024 - September 11 - Wednesday).

Other Thoughts

The original title for this game was “Ion Maiden,” but the studio got a cease and desist letter from Iron Maiden’s legal representation about it being too close in name to the band’s — pretty dumb to me, but that’s why the name was changed in the end.
