M. Night Shyamalan

Thoughts

Generally speaking, M. Knight’s movies are really solid. Unbreakable is one of my all-time favorite movies, and I always enjoy watching Signs and The Sixth Sense. Some of this other work is in the “just okay” category for me, but they also do certain things really well in their own way. For example, I really liked the isolated village surrounded by dangerous woods in The Village, and the turbulent relationships in The Visit.

After watching FanboyFlicks’ review on Old, I’m fairly sure I don’t have much interest in watching it, so that one might be on the unwatched list forever.

As far as the sequels to Unbreakable go, I’m a little hesitant, to be honest. The first movie is excellent, in my opinion, and I’m just a bit concerned that they will take away from it — the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy had an effect like that for me on the Star Wars Movies as a whole, unfortunately.
