Thoughts Great natural disaster movie. A bit campy, but fun regardless. Volcano movies aren’t terribly common so this one still holds up.

Day of the Dead Thoughts Awesome (and gross) practical effects! I like this one much more than Night of the Living Dead.

One of those movies where not a ton happens, but it’s gripping all the same. The actors for the students all had great personality and camaraderie.
Open the field notesDeadpool
Pretty hilarious at times. Ryan Reynolds did a great job with the character. Spends most of the time as an origin story, but worked well.

Death Becomes Her Thoughts My parents, partner, and I watched this on Halloween in 2025! It was fun to watch together, especially since I hadn’t seen it in quite a while;

Thoughts I didn’t like this one as much as I thought I would. Matthew Broderick feels kind of out of place here, as does Danny Devito.

Very unfocused, pacing was frantic at times. Gave no indication of time jumps, but suddenly events just discussed had already transpired.

Open the field notesDennis the Menace
Classic kids movie. Walter Matthau plays a great grumpy neighbor. Plenty of the pranks/situations are genuinely funny.
Open the field notesDennis the Menace Strikes Again!
A failure in most respects, actual funny moments are rare. Most writing and montages are painful, especially the dance scene’s editing.

Devil Thoughts This is a pretty decent horror/thriller movie. I don’t think it tries to do too much, which is a good thing.
Open the field notesDhurandhar
Dhurandhar Thoughts This was a pretty crazy movie! It was like 3½ hours long, too, so we were at the theater for quite a while! I was invited by my partner’s brother to w

It’s hard to outdo Die Hard when it comes to awesome, classic action movies.

Open the field notesDirty Harry
Dirty Harry Thoughts This movie is enjoyable, but I also feel like it has quite a bit of those weird ’70s vibes that a lot of films from back then have.

I feel like this used to be funnier to me, but it’s still entertaining. Lots of good casting.
Open the field notesDodgeball (Unrated)
Dodgeball (Unrated) Thoughts Similar to Dumb & Dumber (Unrated), this movie is way less funny to me than the theatrical release.
Open the field notesDonnie Darko
Thoughts Really inventive/fascinating spin on time travel mechanics. Pretty surreal.
Open the field notesDoom
FPS sequence was cool, very little else was though.
Open the field notesDownfall
Downfall Thoughts Very impressed with this one. I found the character-drama aspect to be extremely well done.
Open the field notesDr. No
Dr. No wasn’t fleshed out. Got some insight into SPECTRE. Side characters were about as intelligent as the seashells.
Open the field notesDragonfly
Dragonfly Thoughts My partner and I thought this was a pretty interesting movie.
Open the field notesDredd
Awesome action movie. Very disappointing this never got a sequel or series.

Open the field notesDumb & Dumber (Unrated)
Dumb & Dumber (Unrated) Thoughts The theatrical cut is way better — most if not all of the extra runtime takes away from its respective scenes and/or adds no value.

Decent overall wartime movie. Interesting use of two converging timelines. Feels a bit unfocused. The dogfighting scenes were great.
