Thoughts

The only reason I’m not giving this a lower score than a D- is the star power that it has, but that doesn’t make it a good or even entertaining movie most of the time. I felt like it was trying way too hard to be funny. I thought:

• Rainn Wilson had some funny dialogue (sometimes)
  • The whole nonsense about his truck with the “dual rear wheels” was painful to sit through
• Elijah Wood was a decent everyman, but didn’t have great lines
• Leigh Whannell was easily the funniest of all, but that’s not saying a whole lot
• Everyone else was a forgettable

On a side note, I don’t think I even heard about this movie when it came out. After watching it, I was surprised to learn that it was released (in an apparently limited fashion) in 2014 — I would have guessed that it was way more recent than that.
